The Fight / O-Line and Character
Aaron,
Loved the interview with Rocket on "The Fight"! It was my senior year and gave inspiration that good can overcome evil. And sometimes you do need to stand up for yourself.
Please comment throughout the year on the O-line. Everyone talks about other stuff but to me, the guys in the trenches make everything else happen.
Also, please continue to comment on the character formation you received at ND. There are things you and coach Holtz talk about that go beyond the X's and O's and recruit ratings that seem to be a priority. Inspiration and leadership still mean the difference between, OK and good, good and great.
Can we vote you in as the O-Line coach? Would you take it if offered?
Notre Dame jerseys
I am looking to purchase ND throw back jerseys. I can not find them any where. I just want to ask if you guys were ever going to sell them. I would really like to buy a Rocket Ismail, Tim Brown, Rick Mirer, Jerome Bettis,etc.....
P.S. I love the site GO IRISH!
CORRECTION: 100% NOT ! !00% ¡
MAKE THAT 100% for CW & Tim Brown..They have a certain honesty that's contagious. Usually it's a conscious decision. Some people are true blue..
CW & Tim blead Blue & Gold ! It was a typo...
TIM BROWN WR 1987 Heisman for ND AD
At the NOTRE DAME VS. USC -- THE GAME IS ON 1988
The last Heisman winner to speak said ND will win. . The Oakland Raiders had a bye, so he made it to L.A. before the big game . O J was their , the '68 usc Heisman winner..saying they had more recent heisman winners..Tim would make a great ND AD !!!
!00% behind WEIS
From the beginning I was for the coach WEIS. I've liked every Irish coach, period. I know the alumnni, including my dad, didn't like all of them...even if they won a National Championship??
So.. ... GO IRISH!!!!
#25 Raghib Ismail c November 26, 1989
Hey, I might have misspelled your proper name. I think you signed a program for the Liturgy for Feast of Christ the King for the prayer breakfast sponsered by the ND Club of Miami. On the t-shirt I wore in the Orange Bowl, you did appear as #25 . (UNOFFICIAL T-SHIRT)! ..also "E...., Keep cheering for the Irish!! " Chris Ryan 'The Leprechaun' signed!!& also Steve Belles #8 "& Tony Rice # 9. (ok: the players on the front of 't' shirt were left to right # 13, # 22, # 25, # 28, & # 9. Proverbs 1:2-3, 'an eye for an eye and TWO for LOU!' (on the back of the t-shirt dated on top: NOVEMBER 25th 1989 ¡!¡ WE R N D
Irish Toughness
Catholics vs. Convicts!!! One of the best games ever. Just the excitement in Rocket's voice just telling about it is so cool. You guys are right. That vidio should be a required to everyone on the team!!!
GO IRISH!
Return of the Legends
Good to see you're gearing back up. Look forward to many more insightful and intelligent articles.

Rocket's recollections
OMG, Thanks so much for the memories. Rocket is a great storyteller. I agree with genius, you need to make sure this gets in Charlie's hands!
Is it possible?
Forgive my ignorance here, but do former players like yourself and Rocket, have the opportunity to spend time with the current players? Meaning, not just on game day, but when they are practicing? I'm old enough to remember the glory days of Lou and the angst filled years with Faust. This season is tough for all of us, however, when "haters" try to bait me with the present situation, my response is, "Take your shots now, because you won't have a chance in the near future." I sometimes wonder if the young guys truly understand; most were just babies since the last time ND won a NC.
Video of UM-ND 1988
Can't get the video to play. What am I doing wrong
laundry baskets and tunnel fights!
Thoes were the days...Great interview Aaron and Rocket. I'm picking the Irish to win this week. Midwest boys beat east coast boys every time!
Never Flinch!
"Miami started it. See their whole reputation was built upon intimidation. Then they tried to intimidate us. They got into our face while we were warming up. That's something we wouldn't take."

What a great day for the Fighting Irish!
Irish Toughness
Great Interview!
Aaron, you have to get this into Charlie Weiss' hands.
He is continuing to run more physical practices. He also talked earlier in the week at a press conference about how he pointed out to the defense that they did not react with enough emotion after a particularly violent hit during one of the "take them to the ground" sessions. It seems like he's getting it. What do you think?
Irish toughness
You are killin' it, Aaron! Great interviews and great topics. Maybe this team needs its unifying or "Braveheart" moment. Rocket was fantastic and I think every kid on the team should take the time to watch this video.
PS: Was Rocket wearing his Bull Riding Belt Buckle?
you saw that bull riding
you saw that bull riding bit, too?! I about fell out of my chair when I saw the show. He said it was fun...but a little scary at times...understandably.
THE FIGHT
LOVED IT AND REMEMBER IT VIVIDLY!!!!! GO IRISH!!!!
